Officials release information after Paris, Ill. baby's death

PARIS, Ill. (WTHI) - The Edgar Count Coroner has released information about the death of a two-month-old baby.
Crews were called to a home in Paris on Sunday afternoon.
A mother reported she found her child unresponsive. When officers arrived, a neighbor was attempting CPR on the baby.
The baby, Jocelyn Davis, died.
According to the coroner, the mother said she had fed the baby and put her in a swing before going back to bed. ....

The Woodlands – Residents in Spring are asking for help in identifying a man they said stole several backflow preventers from at least two different communities.
The thief was caught on several different surveillance cameras in the Wright’s Landing subdivision wearing a red hat and an AT&T vest.
Melissa Solis said she first noticed her backflow preventer was missing Tuesday afternoon.
“When we came out, we noticed that not only ours was missing, but our neighbors were missing as well,” said Solis. ....

Missed opportunities haunt Huskies in must-win game

TRUSSVILLE The Hewitt-Trussville girls soccer team couldn’t find the net on Tuesday afternoon in a must-win home match against Spain Park. 
The Huskies surrendered the game-winning goal with 9:03 remaining in the second half, as Jaguar freshman Tatum Ahlemeyer punched one through for the only goal of the evening. The 1-0 win sends Spain Park into the Class 7A state playoffs, where the Jags will face Oak Mountain in the first round next week. 
In terms of the postseason, Tuesday’s Area 6 loss leaves Hewitt-Trussville on the outside looking in.
