Officers with the Jasper Police Department are investigating a shooting on Caldwell Street. Lt. Garrett Foster said officers were dispatched to the location, just two blocks from the Jasper Police Department, shortly after 9:00 on Saturday morning, when it was reported that shots had been fired in the neighborhood. Foster said officers believe that one man fired at least one shot at another individual, who then went in the house, retrieved a gun and returned fire. No one was hit or injured in the incident and so far, no one has been charged in connection with the shooting, which is believed to be a result of a dispute between the two men. However, one person was reportedly arrested in connection with an outstanding warrant in connection with an unrelated crime.
