Ryan Devitt scored 12 points and Jackson Ollenburger added 11 for the Pirates
Jasper Johnson scored 13 points and Andrew Douglas had 10 to lead the Santa Barbara offense. Devan Stone chipped in six points, but more importantly his defense helped get us back in sync, said coach Corey Adam.
Santa Barbara is 4-1 in league.

A 13-2 third-quarter run propelled the Santa Barbara boys basketball team past Dos Pueblos on Saturday, as the Dons knocked off the Chargers for the second consecutive game 62-50.
Saturday’s win marked Santa Barbara’s third straight league victory. The Dons now sit at 3-1 in Channel League play. Dos Pueblos dropped to 1-3 in the league. ....

Despite the rust, Santa Barbara largely stayed in the game throughout the night. In particular, senior Deacon Hill helped the Dons keep the game close by dominating the glass throughout the night.
“He’s a big, division one football player, and his athleticism and size really showed up out there,” said Adam.
Emotions ran high between the crosstown rivals in the fourth quarter. Douglas went up to block Shakir Ahmad’s layup and was called for a foul on the block attempt. After the play, Douglas picked up a technical foul for taunting, which granted Ahmad four free-throw attempts and gave San Marcos back the ball. After Ahmad made three of his four attempts, the Royals were able to extend the lead to nine, their largest of the evening. ....

Despite a strong second-half performance, the Santa Barbara boys basketball team fell 78-58 to St. Joseph on Tuesday in a non-league game at J.R. Richards Gym.
Senior forward Erik Strandburg and senior guard Miles Thompson both led the way for the Dons with 16 points apiece, while senior forward Andrew Douglas chipped in 8 points in the losing effort.
St. Joseph (3-0) had four players score in double figures, led by 6-foot-5 Jincho Rivera with 19 points. Steven Vasquez and 6-7 Samuel Bazunga each had 16 points and Angel Ortiz added 11. ....
