Staff report A man who expanded his father s local tree care business into a multi-state enterprise was recently named Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce s 2020 Business Person of the Year. George Pogue Jr. is the owner of Cumberland Valley Tree Service. Local business and civic leaders chose to honor him with the annual award in recognition of his professional leadership and business accomplishments that have positively impacted the community. “George’s leadership with the Cumberland Valley Tree Service has created a successful business model that supports not only its employees, but our community as well,” Luke Martin, chair of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, said in a news release. “George and his family have built a business that is a credit to our region and worthy of emulation to the highest degree.” ....
