Zuniga s family claims he died from injuries he suffered during his arrest on April 2020, joining advocates from La Union del Pueblo Entero to bring light to the tragedy they say nobody should forget. We promised my brother we would get him justice, Zuniga s sister Katia Gonzalez said. He asked for it before he passed away. ....

In 2014, her nephew was killed by an off-duty San Antonio police officer at the age of 23. Marquise Jones was shot in the back running from the scene of a fender bender in a restaurant drive-thru lane. The officer said Jones had a gun other witnesses say he didn t.
