Post Game Review: Florida Share this story Well that was unbelievable. Given the sheer amount of attrition LSU has experienced not only in the offseason and the course of the regular season, but in the lead up to/during the actual game. Micah Baskerville didn’t travel with an apparent illness, Derek Stingley sat with injury (good, he’s been hurt all year, please just rest), and the top two running backs went down. All of that in addition to already apocalyptic and well documented attrition. LSU was certainly lucky to win, but they played with an unbelievable amount of heart and effort, that’s all you could ask. ....

The Tigers executed in all three phases and earned their biggest win of the season. How It Happened: LSU’s defense stood strong early on. The Tigers prevented Florida from getting into the end zone on the Gators’ first drive. Florida drove the ball down the field on an 11-play drive, but LSU forced a turnover on downs by stopping the Gators at the goal line. The Gators were still on the scoreboard first after a one-yard Kyle Trask touchdown run with 8:01 remaining in the first. ....
