They re off and racing at Treasure Park on Saturday, June 12, with the Moranbah Race Club hosting its June winter carnival family fun day.
Secretary Olivia O’Neill from the Moranbah Race Club is anticipating a big day with strong pre-sale tickets and table bookings and has solid support from sponsors including The Black Nugget, ISS World, Smart Stay, Blackwater Quarries, Onsite and many more.
“Sponsors are proud to continue supporting racing in Moranbah, with country racing being an important social staple within the community,” she said.
“The club is also delighted to welcome back some old sponsors to the race club.”

New Zealander Andre Heimgartner has ended Ford s 223-day wait for a Supercars win, claiming the first victory of his career at The Bend Motorsport Park on Saturday. The Kelly Grove Racing driver, who earlier in the day claimed just the second pole position of his career, overcame a slow start to hold off the pack on a wet day at Tailem Bend to win the 24-lap race. His first victory comes in Heimgartner s 161st start in the Supercars championship and it s also Ford s first race win since Cameron Water s victory in last September s event at the same circuit.
