WMMC Registering People for COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Western Missouri Medical Center has ordered their first round of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and they are now registering people who wish to receive it. Western Missouri Medical Center is making plans for their first community clinic. Those who would like to receive the vaccine, which will be distributed according to the State of Missouri s COVID-19 vaccination plan s tiers, can register here to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Western Missouri Medical Center hopes to vaccinate 850 people a week through their clinics pending vaccine availability. Johnson County Community Health Services held their first vaccination clinic Friday afternoon at the Warresnburg Community Center. According to JCCHS they vaccinated over 448 people. Johnson County Keeps 14 Day COVID-19 Quarantine Johnson County Community Health recently announced the County will be keeping the 14 day Quarantine for persons who might have been exposed to COVID-19. As opposed to adopting a shorter quarantine time which the Centers for Disease Control says may be permissible in some communities to reduce the time people have to miss work, and lessen the stress on our public health system. In a Facebook post Johnson County Community Health points out that the CDC still strongly recommends a 14 day quarantine. Additionally JCCHS says that the Department of Health and Senior Services in Missouri recommends shorter quarantine restriction for communities within a County Action Plan Level 3 status or better. ....
