Three more staff members have been fired at a Buffalo radio station after racist comments were made on-air last month.
WIVB reports Cumulus Media axed 97 Rock (WGRF-FM) “The Morning Bull” co-hosts Rich “The Bull” Gaenzler and Chris Klein, plus program director John Hager. The terminations come after morning show host Rob Lederman was fired March 24 for comparing toaster settings to the color of Black women’s skin tones as they discussed making toast for breakfast.
“I may get into trouble for this,” Lederman said. “I have them (set) to the attractiveness of women I find to be attractive. I will never go to a Serena Williams level. But I’m very comfortable with a Halle Berry level. I need a little bit of a mulatto still coming through.”
