Tuesday, May 4 is election day in Portage County

Today is Election Day, and polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. across Portage County.
Faith Lyon, director of the Portage County Board of Elections, said early voting turnout has been light, and she is projecting a 32 percent turnout for the election. She expects ballots to be counted by 10 p.m. today.
Early voting ended at 2 p.m. Monday. Those who have had absentee ballots mailed to them have until 7:30 p.m. today to hand-deliver them to the drop box in the Board of Elections parking lot of the county administration building, 449 S. Meridian St., Ravenna. Ballots returned by mail needed to be postmarked by Monday, May 3. ....

Faith went on to tell a young Sonia about the role of Tina Sparkle, which seemed to spark her interest, however the team wasn t casting for another year.
Despite losing hope, Sonia said: But sure enough a year later she called me up and invited me to audition for Baz and that was it. I got the part, she added.

GRANBY Rocky Mountain National Park plans to require reservations again this summer with expectations to begin implementing a long-term crowd management plan in the near future.
In a special meeting of the Estes Park Town Board on Monday, officials representing the national park explained their management plan to control crowding for the upcoming season. According to their presentation, the park will be requiring reservations for all areas from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning May 28 and lasting through Oct. 11. ....

Rocky Mountain National Park, which sits just outside Estes Park, Colorado, is one of the countryâs most popular and as a result, most crowded national parks. Various park officials met with the Estes Park town board earlier this week to explain that the park will require reservations this summer as a means to ease crowding and subsequent congestion.
Although nothing has been officially announced, the park plans to implement a two-tiered timed-entry reservation system this year from May 28 to October 11, reports the
