Trackwork starting time debate: Chris Waller wants it to start later

Hall of Fame trainer Chris Waller has joined the growing chorus for fundamental change in the racing industry by advocating for later starts to daily trackwork and improved conditions for stable staff.
Trainers around the nation have begun speaking out about the long hours endured by stable staff, an issue exacerbated by early morning trackwork and later finishes due to twilight and night race meetings.
Waller made a passionate and articulate argument for the sport to adopt more modern workplace practices or risk alienating a younger generation of potential workers.
“Who really wants their children to be starting work at 3am, or having to drive to work or catch public transport at that time,’’ Waller said. ....

Toward the end of 2020, a difficult year for many, I found myself feeling something I d never felt before. I yearned for a believers Christmas. By believer I mean anyone, including non-Christians, who recognizes the Christian roots of Christmas, who respects and participates in the impact of that tradition, who knows that there is more to this life than the material, and who feels part of a community formed by Christianity, and wants that community to continue. In 2020, I yearned for the public, shared, communal Christmas I remember from my childhood. That Christmas was significantly contributed to by Catholics and Protestants, Jews and Atheists, gays and straights. Now I know that that Christmas is gone and will most likely not return in my lifetime. ....

His appeal will be handed down in the new year.
I was only fair at mathematics but the numbers don’t seem to add up to me.
I realise each case is different but it’s a case of either two of the sentences are ridiculously light or one is very harsh or a mixture of both. ....
