Library Welcomes New Mascot
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The John McIntire Library is welcoming a brand new member to its team.
Hoobert the owl is the library’s mascot who was originally created digitally with the help of the community. Now, Hoobert is able to take part in events and come to the library in person. 
“I think that Hoobert’s big role is going to be encouraging children to visit the library…Hoobert is going to serve as an ambassador to the community for the library to encourage children to come in, pick up a book, learn, engage in programming and just get excited about reading, learning, and visiting their local library,” Marketing and Community Relations Director Sean Fennell said. ....
