Bordentown, Medford Lakes voters turn out for May municipal elections


Incumbent Dennis P. O Neill beat out Joseph Aromando 418 votes, or 70% of the total vote, to 170 votes, or 28% of the total vote, according to unofficial results. O Neill was appointed to the seat on the five-member council in February after the January death of borough mayor Robert D. Hanold Sr. 
In New Jersey, nonpartisan elections where candidates are not identified by political party and must be clearly offset from party lines on any ballot  are held in May. 
Only three towns in Burlington County hold them: Bordentown City, Medford Lakes and Bass River.

Bordentown City election results should be finalized on May 18
The City of Bordentown held its nonpartisan election on May 11 for three open seats on the Board of Commissioners.
All votes handed in on Election Day have been counted; however, not all mail-in ballots have been calculated and certified for the election. According to Bordentown City Municipal Clerk Grace Archer, all mail-in ballots are expected to be counted by May 18 to certify the 2021 election.
Mayor James Lynch and City Commissioner Joe Myers are running for reelection on the board, while Communications Director of the New Jersey Department of Treasury Jennifer Sciortino and Bordentown native Ed Foley are both seeking a first term as commissioner. ....

BORDENTOWN CITY, NJ  Today is Election Day in Bordentown City.
Lynch, Myers, Sciortino and Foley each laid out their plans and goals for the future of Bordentown City during a virtual Candidates Forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Burlington County on April 27. 
Polls will be open for in-person voting at the Carslake Community Center, located at 207 Crosswicks Street, from 6AM to 8PM. Residents who wish to vote via Vote By Mail ballot and return their completed ballot in person must do so at the County Board of Elections in Mount Holly by the close of polls today. Those who wish to return their completed Vote By Mail ballot via mail must have their ballot postmarked no later than Election Day and the ballot must be received by the County Board of Elections no later than six days after Election Day.  ....
