Cincinnati officials have identified nine streets with lots of pedestrian and vehicle crashes to prioritize for street calming projects. In the past two and a half years, more than 120 pedestrian crashes have occurred on these nine streets combined.
We can t do one thing at one spot to fix the problem, said John Brazina, director of the Office of Transportation and Engineering. It s the whole corridor that needs to be looked at. And that s why it s such a high dollar amount. ....

New Plans To Fund A Replacement For The Western Hills Viaduct

Cincinnati has plans for a new Western Hills Viaduct and the money to build it could be secured by the end of the year. The new design includes a single deck replacement with eight travel lanes, to be built 50 feet to the south of the existing viaduct. Construction will take $335 million and the project is expected to be complete in 2028.

About two miles of new bike trail from the Cincinnati neighborhood of Mount Washington to Anderson Township will be ceremoniously opened Saturday morning.
There will be a ribbon-cutting for the new Salem Road to Sutton Avenue section of the Ohio River Trail at 10 a.m. on the trail near where Salem intersects with Kellogg Avenue, according to a release from Mayor John Cranley s office. Parking is available at Magrish Preserve.
