On Sunday, the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division reported that COVID-19 had recently been identified by the Saskatchewan Health Authority at Diefenbaker School in Prince Albert. The release did not say how many cases of COVID-19 were identified, but it did say that one classroom will be isolating as a result. Despite the case or cases, the school will remain open. “There is no clear evidence that the case(s) was/were acquired or transmitted at school and in-person learning will safely continue for the rest of the school after the February break,” the statement read. – ....
The Saskatchewan Health Authority has identified positive COVID-19 cases in one individual in each of the following schools: École Vickers Public School and John Diefenbaker Public School. In a media release the Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division (SRPSD) said they were informed of these positive COVID-19 test results earlier Monday and communication has been shared with the classrooms/cohorts, the connected staff, as well as with the school communities. Privacy concerns prevent sharing of further details of the cases in question. All SRPSD schools are currently enjoying the winter break and will be returning to remote learning on Monday, January 4, 2021 as recommended by our local office of medical health.
