COVID patients recover with Hospital Care at Home

When COVID-19 patient John Lodge was told he could go home early from the hospital and be monitored remotely by his United Health Services doctor, he was thrilled.
“Knowing that I would be video-chatting at home with my doctor every day at 4 p.m. took away a level of worry and fear,” he said.  “It eliminated stress while I was recovering and allowed me as a patient to feel comfortable.”
“Hospital Care at Home,” a program giving patients the ability to recover from COVID-19 in the comfort of their own homes after hospitalization is getting positive reviews from people who have benefitted from the new approach, according to Kim Brady, RN, System director of Care Management and a principal organizer of the program. ....
