The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund March 1 announced that it will hold its virtual Lunar New Year Gala and Justice in Action Awards Ceremony March 4, with Pernod Ricard North America chair and chief executive Ann Mukherjee among the honorees.
The Indian American will be honored alongside ABC Newsâ Nightline co-anchor Juju Chang and comedian and âDaily Showâ correspondent Ronny Chieng, AALDEF said in a news release.
Mukherjee has served in her current role since December 2019, having previously served as global chief commercial officer at SC Johnson for four years. Pernod Ricard is the worldâs second largest distiller, maker of Absolut Vodka, Chivas Regal scotch, Jameson, Malibu Rum, Kahlua and other spirit brands.

The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) has chosen an Indian-American and two other Asians to receive its 2021 Justice in Action Awards.

Daily Show correspondent, were named in a March 1 press release from the organization.
A graduate of the University of Chicago, Mukherjee has been part of advocacy organization such as the Cannes Lions, Chetna, and Effie Worldwide. She has held top level positions in a number of multinational companies including Kraft Heinz,

The avalanche was small relative to the path and destructive enough to injure, bury, or kill a person. The avalanche failed on an old layer of faceted snow.. The crown face of the avalanche was 3 to 7 feet deep, 400 feet wide, and the debris ran about 400 feet. At the crown of the avalanche the faceted snow layer was three to seven feet below the snowpack surface. One hundred vertical feet down slope from the crown face, the snowpack was shallower, not wind affected, and the weak layer was only two feet from the surface. This was a Persistent Slab avalanche.
