Coronavirus Australia: The Project panelist recalls nightmare to get AstraZeneca vaccine


A television presenter has shared the difficulties she encountered trying to get the AstraZeneca coronavirus jab, describing it as one of the worst experiences of her life.
The Project panelist Jan Fran said she made phone calls to two GPs about getting the vaccine but one did not stock it, and the other was on maternity leave, and she did not receive it during a subsequent appointment.
That prompted her to lash out at the federal and state governments and health officials for conflicting messages over vaccine availability, saying it had left her rattled, confused and .. f king angry .
She said she contacted doctors surgeries after Prime Minister Scott Morrison gave the green light for under-40s to get the Astra Zeneca from their GPs if they wish to do so, despite earlier government advice that it should be only be taken by over-60s. ....

Bordering on a scare campaign, the TV ad shows a young woman hooked up to a ventilator in hospital struggling to breathe before cutting to the words: “COVID-19 can affect anyone. Book your vaccination”.
The distressing fact that has audiences up in arms is that the woman featured in the ad, like everyone in Australia under 40 right now, wouldn’t qualify to get the vaccine to prevent contracting the disease and ending up in hospital. ....
