Taranaki Rescue Helicopter intensive care paramedic Janine Nutt said there will always be critics, but they shouldn’t stop women following their dreams.
Intensive care paramedic Janine Nutt has worked in her male-dominated industry all over the world, but she’s never been treated like a “girl”.
Nutt is one of the Taranaki women working within emergency services being celebrated for International Women’s Day, which falls on Monday.
“It’s a privilege to be there when someone’s having their worst day,” she said. “I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”
The 30-year-old is an intensive care paramedic for the Taranaki Community Rescue Helicopter, and has been since November 2019. ....
