Local authorities in Cueibet town of Lakes State said marauders suspected to be from Pagor and Duong Payams on Wednesday killed a Sub-chief, Athugi Atool, and raided 56 head of cattle in Agangrial village of Ngap Payam.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, the secretary-general of the now-defunct Gok State, Zechariah Mamer Thokgor, confirmed that 26 out of 56 head of cattle raided were recovered by the owners from the armed raiders.
The security forces are still following up the raiders who killed Sub-chief Athugi Atool from the Jurbeli section of Ngap Payam, Zechariah Mamer said. ....
