âI think we only wrote like seven tickets,â Dippel told the Jackson Hole Daily. âA mix of trespass and antler possession. In eight years here, thatâs the least number [of citations] I can remember.â

The season will open at 6 am Saturday, May 1 in many areas of western Wyoming.
“Antler hunters are reminded that if they find antlers or horns still attached to the skull they are required to contact Wyoming Game and Fish law enforcement officials to get permission to remove it and must have it tagged with an Interstate Game Tag,” Game and Fish said.

Game and Fish noted that their offices will be closed on Saturday. Hunters needing to contact a law enforcement officer in the field can call Game and Fish’s law enforcement dispatch number at 877-943-3847.
