Doane (Neb.) actually strengthened its hold at the top of the National TFRI. The Tigers are clearly a favorite for the title on that basis, let alone having the most entries in the meet – 24 in individual events plus a pair of relays. Field events are where Doane is slated to make the most noise, with leaders in the both high jump with Jacob Heitkamp and the decathlon with Levi Sudbeck, who won the heptathlon in the NAIA Indoor meet in March. Four other field-eventers are among the top-4 ranked athletes in the meet. Doane has never won this meet, but finished as runner-up in 2011. ....

Indiana Tech remains No. 1 after posting five top-10 performances over the weekend which included a new No. 1 ranking in the 4×400 relay (3:14.96). The Warriors also had two marks inside the top five as senior Colby Bailey clocked a time of 6.81 to put him at No. 4 nationally in the 60, while junior Neville Smith also ranks No. 4 in the triple jump at 14.60m (47-10¾). Overall, Indiana Tech has 10 marks ranked in the top-five. Dordt (Iowa) comes in at No. 2 for the second consecutive week. The Defenders own three No. 1 rankings as freshman Payton Mauldin and senior Matthew Van Eps lead the way in the 600 and 800, respectively. Mauldin also clocked a time of 48.71c (49.48) in the 400 over the weekend to put him at No. 8 nationally. The Dordt DMR squad continues to the country with a time of 7:44.56c (7:51.20). ....

Sophomore Sergio Arcos also scored 4694 points this weekend for a No. 3 national mark in the heptathlon.
