Chatham-Kent police investigate rural break-and-enters

Chatham-Kent police are investigating two rural break-and-enters that have taken place since Christmas Day. A barn was entered on a Maple Line property near Jacob Road in Dover Township late Monday or early Tuesday. A garage on an adjacent property was also entered. Impaired driving causing death case adjourned late January

Article content The case of a man facing impaired-related charges in connection to the death of a seven-year-old girl and injuries suffered by her two siblings has been adjourned into the new year. Car thefts continue to plague Southbury during overnight hours

December 14, 2020 1118 SOUTHBURY State and local police are investigating multiple car thefts in town last week, the most recent of which occurred Wednesday when a Jacob Road homeowner awoke to discover his 2018 GMC Acadia had been stolen. The homeowner told police the car likely was stolen during the overnight hours. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call state police at 203-267-2200. Also, a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder was stolen from a home Monday in the area of Old Waterbury Road. That vehicle also was believed to have been stolen during the overnight hours. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Southbury police officer Jacques at 203-264-5912.
