Friday: Ontario Reign Projected Lineup vs Roadrunners, Turcotte Moving Positions

Friday: Ontario Reign Projected Lineup vs Roadrunners, Turcotte Moving Positions
Like in the NHL, most of 2021 has seen the Ontario Reign playing two-game sets vs. other AHL teams. However, this weekend it will be a rare pair of back-to-back games against different opponents. First up, is a rematch with the visiting Roadrunners on Friday night. They met up in mid-February for two games, with Tucson claiming one-goal victories each time.
Henderson arrives in SoCal for a game with Ontario on Saturday night, but we’ll hold off on discussing that any further for now.
In front of the Reign is an important game with the Roadrunners, one in which they’ll have leading point producer Rasmus Kupari back in the lineup. And, from what we’ve been able to gather, Alex Turcotte will be sliding over to play left wing alongside of him tonight. ....

Indy Fuel scores: Dynamite goaltending fuels consecutive shutouts

The Indy Fuel are the Double-A affiliate for the Chicago Blackhawks and have treated their loyal hockey fans to a wonderful winning record this season. There haven’t been many occasions when the Indianapolis faithful has left Indiana Farmers Coliseum with a sorrowful feeling.
Their home team hockey organization has inspired them with a strong 18-4 record sitting alone at the top of the standings in the Eastern Conference of the ECHL. Goaltending has been a true staple and cornerstone for Indy Fuel this season as they have put up a winning percentage of 80% and won seven of their last ten games. This past weekend was no different as their dynamic duo of goalies posted consecutive 4-0 shutouts over the Greenville Swamp Rabbits to cap the series on a high note. Saturday night featured starting goalie Dan Bakala taking center stage for Indy and putting on an East 38th Street showstopper in steering away 30 shots on goal from Greenville to right the ship.  ....

2/1 Notebook - Kempe returns, Kaliyev, strong PP, Reign schedule, Wagner

Quick / Petersen / Ingham
Jacob Ingham and Matthew Villalta swapped places today, with Villalta assigned to the AHL’s Ontario Reign and Ingham recalled to the taxi squad. This is something we can expect to see at points throughout the season, to keep both goaltenders getting games with Ontario.
With Kempe back in, the Kings had 15 forwards on the ice today. Martin Frk completed his second consecutive practice with the team, while, like yesterday, Matt Luff joined the group for his first full skate back, in a regular practice jersey.
The expectation is that Frk will not be ready for tomorrow against Anaheim, nor will Luff, which means that one of Arthur Kaliyev or Jaret Anderson-Dolan will likely make their season-debut, or in Kaliyev’s case, his NHL debut. From the line combinations over the last two days, the more likely option at this point appears to be Kaliyev, who skated with a regular unit yesterday and today. ....
