In contrast with the dozens of arrests made at large-scale protests that took place in the community after the killing of George Floyd last summer, Hoover Police did not interfere with the protesters on Saturday. Over the course of two hours, activists marched down the hill from the Hoover Public Library to the Hoover Police Department’s headquarters on Municipal Drive, then back to the library. According to WSVN.com, Miami-Dade Police, responded to a shooting on Friday evening in Liberty City, that took the life of 21-year-old Zariya Williams and her friend Dawanna Graham.
