SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a militant associate in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police spokesman in a statement said that a joint Naka by Sopore Police, 22 RR and 179 CRPF was established at Model Town crossing Sopore.
“During Naka checking one hardcore OGW of TRF Outfit namely Ihsaan ul Haq Khanday S/O Nazir Ahmad Khanday a resident of Faisalabad Sopore A/P Nowpora Kalan was apprehended and Incriminating material including letter pad of TRF outfit has been recovered from his possession,” said the spokesman.
“In this regard case FIR NO. 82/2021 U/S 13 ULA (P), 506 IPC Stands registered further investigation is going on,” he said.

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested seven terror associates from south Kashmir's Shopian district, police said on Saturday. The arrests are linked with proscribed militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. Incriminating materials have also been recovered from their possession.

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday claimed to have busted militant modules of proscribed outfits JeM and LeT and arrested seven militant associates.
A police spokesman in a statement said that besides, recovered huge quantity of explosive material, detonators, grenades and also seized a Maruti car.
The spokesman said that Awantipora Police received information that terrorists of proscribed outfit JeM are planning an attack by means of triggering vehicle born IED in the Pampore-Khrew area.
“Upon this information police along with 50 RR and CRPF carried out a search in the Pampore area,” said the spokesman.
“During search one person was apprehended identified as Sahil Nazir son of Nazir Ahmad Mir resident of Drangabal Pampore,” he said.
