LAHORE: Jamaat Islami ameer Sirajul Haq has warned the government against allowing US army to use military bases in Pakistan, asking Prime Minister Imran Khan to clarify the statement of US administration claiming that Islamabad has again allowed Washington to use its military bases and air space.
Addressing a meeting of JI Punjab office-bearers at Mansoora on Monday, Sirajul Haq expressed concern that if the PTI government repeated the blunder committed by Gen Pervez Musharraf, it would invite more serious dangers and catastrophes. He warned that Pakistanis had already paid a heavy price of others’ war in shape of over 80,000 innocent lives and infrastructure damage of over $100 billion. LAHORE: Jamaat Islami (JI) has invited top religious and political leaders of the country at a national consultative conference scheduled for May 23 at Mansoorah to chalk out a collective strategy to counter the conspiracies against country’s Islamic identity.
On the directives of JI ameer Sirajul Haq, invitations have been extended to noted religio-political leadership of the country, said JI secretary general Amirul azeem while addressing media after chairing a meeting in connection with the preparations of the conference. LAHORE : Religious leaders strongly condemned the attack of Zionist army at Al-Aqsa mosque on Jumatul Wida wounding over two hundred worshippers including women and children, terming it a blatant attack on Muslim religious honour, and demanding the Muslim states boycott Israel and chalk out a joint strategy to protect the first Qibla of Muslims.
They said the Muslim countries who had acknowledged the illegal and illegitimate state of Israel under US pressure should feel the burden of this situation which was brought about due to their cowardice and opting for personal, financial favours instead of responding to the call of Islam. ....

KUPWARA: Mohammad Ashraf Khan Sehrai was born in Tekipora (Lolab) in Kupwara in 1944. He was the youngest among three brothers, Mohammad Yousuf Khan (dead 2016) and Qamar-ud-Din Khan, a Jamaat-e-Islami veteran (died in 2009). Seharie died at the age of 77.

Jamaat Islami (JI) Pakistan assured the residents of Baldia Town of providing clean drinking water in the area on Sunday.
The impoverished constituency of NA-249 has been neglected by successive governments, but JI will change its fate, claimed JI chief of Karachi chapter Naeemur Rehman.
