Late miscues sunk Stony Brook in a 16-13 defeat, but the offense struggled to find its footing throughout the game and did not convert a single third down. “We certainly lost the game that way, because in the first half, [Villanova] was 7-for-10 [on third downs],” head coach Chuck Priore said in a postgame press conference. “We’ve got to go back and look at our ability to make those plays.”
