Tiger Woods Says Prescribed Meds Led to DUI Arrest in South Florida


I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions, Woods said in a statement to NBC News. I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.
Woods apologized to his family, friends and fans and said, I expect more from myself, too.
I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again, he said.

Tiger Woods was driving nearly 90 mph when he was injured in crash, sheriff's office says

Tiger Woods late February car crash in Southern California was caused by Woods driving at an unsafe speed and by an inability to negotiate a curve in the road, according to findings released Wednesday after a lengthy delay by the Los Angeles County Sheriff s Department.
Woods was driving between 84 and 87 mph in a 45-mph zone when his Genesis SUV smashed into and hopped over a median, Los Angeles County Sheriff s Department officials said at a news conference, citing evidence investigators recovered from a data recorder. Woods car was traveling 75 mph when it hit a tree and rolled into a ditch in Rolling Hills Estates, a neighborhood in the posh suburb of Rancho Palos Verdes. ....
