Daily Times Ambassador-designate to Netherlands visits Sialkot on PRGMEA invitation

Pakistan Ambassador-designate to the Netherlands Suljuk Mustansir Tarar has pledged to encourage Dutch investors to explore Pakistan for possible joint ventures and investment in conventional and non-conventional sectors, besides promoting new sectors and areas in exports to the Netherlands.
The newly-appointed Pakistani envoy visited Sialkot on invitation of the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association where he held separate meetings at the Sialkot Chamber as well as at the PRGMEA to have detailed discussions on value-added industry’s of export-oriented city.
Addressing the meeting at PRGMEA House, the Ambassador said that the efforts of PRGMEA in promoting value-added exports are commendable. He said that the purpose of his visit to Sialkot was to enhance contacts and exchange information for the promotion of trade between Pakistan and the Netherlands.
Sialkot Business Council launched

LAHORE: The Sialkot Business Council (SBC) has been launched as a business policy advocacy and execution platform by the 13 largest private-sector institutions, industrial and export-oriented associations, a statement said on Thursday.
This will pave the way for the quick and speedy establishment of Allama Iqbal Business Park in Sialkot announced by the prime minister in his recent visit to the city, besides doubling exports in the short-term, it added.
The SBC will be a professionally-run organisation headed and assisted by a full-time convener and secretary, who will work closely with the relevant provincial and federal governments’ departments, ministries, regulators and other organisations and professional bodies to explore the new venture of industrialisation in Sialkot.

The Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS)
Mumbai has busted a major racket of illegal migrants from Bangladesh and arrested eight persons, a top official said on Monday.
Following a tip-off in late November of some anti-national activities received by the ATS Kalachowki unit, the ATS laid a trap and nabbed an
illegal Bangladeshi national from Sewree named Akram O. Khan, 28, hailing from Novokhali district in the neighbouring country.
Khan, who had sneaked into India, was engaged in making and supplying fake identity cards and other vital documents to other illegal Bangladeshi immigrants living in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
