Wendell Gaskin, a former deputy financial secretary who represented the Finance Ministry on the BVI Ports Authority Board during the time of the troubled cruise pier project said that until this month he had not seen a 2014Â report from the auditor general criticising the project and his role in it.
Wendell Gaskin, who helped spearhead the Internal Audit Department while serving as deputy financial secretary from 2011 to 2018, was described in Auditor General Sonia Websterâs report as âuncooperative.â ....

Financial secretary helps track the money

Acting Financial Secretary Jeremiah Frett and his predecessor Glenroy Forbes were questioned on Tuesday by the Commission of Inquiry about a topic they know well: money and how it was spent. Mr. Forbes served as financial secretary from 1991 to 1998 and again from 2002 to 2005. He was appointed for a third time in 2017 and served until January of this year, when he was replaced by Mr. Frett.
On Tuesday, the pair appeared separately before the COI and responded to many of the same questions. ....
