Meeting reviews progress on uplift projects in Swat

MINGORA: A meeting chaired by Commissioner Malakand Division Zaheer-ul-Islam on Friday reviewed progress on various development projects in Swat district.
Special Secretary to Chief Minister Muhammad Khaliq, DIG Malakand Division Abdul Ghafoor Afridi, Deputy Commissioner Swat Junaid Khan, heads and representatives of district departments attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed police reforms, agricultural development, health and education for all, ease of transportation through road linkages, clean water supply, sports facilities, establishment of rescue services and judicial complex, and electricity and gas projects.
The meeting was informed that 92 schemes have been completed under the special package for the areas affected by terrorism while 65 projects have been completed to uplift of underdeveloped areas of the district. ....

SWAT: An important meeting regarding development projects of Swat district was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner of Malakand Division Zaheerul Islam at Commissioner Office Syed Sharif on Friday.
Special Secretary to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Khaliq also attended the meeting. DIG of Malakand Division Abdul Ghafoor Afridi, Deputy Commissioner of Swat Junaid Khan, heads and representatives of district departments also participated.

MINGORA: Four more patients died of Covid-19, raising the number of fatalities to 160 in the district so far.
Officials of the Health Department said on Monday that 142 patients infected by Covid-19 were under treatment at the Saidu Teaching Hospital. They said that four Covid-19 patients died while battling for life for the last several days at the hospital. The officials said that three dead belonged to various areas of Swat while one was hailing from Lower Dir district. They added that 20 new patients were admitted to the hospital while 12 were discharged after their complete recovery from the viral infection. The officials said that more suspected patients had tested positive due to the non-observance of SOPs and ignoring the government guidelines to stem the viral pandemic. ....
