Population welfare seminar held in Timergara July 12, 2021 TIMERGARA: Lower Dir Population Welfare Department organised a youth seminar titled “Population and Development” at a hotel here on Sunday. A total of 62 people, including youth leaders, scholars and youth ambassadors from various educational institutions and people from other walks of life, attended the event. Known sociologist Prof Dr Nasir Ahmed was chief guest on the occasion. The chief guest, Prof Dr Nisar Ahmad, District Population Welfare Officer (DPWO) Syed Muhammad Usman, Ph.D scholar in sociology Kinan Pasha and Deputy District Population Welfare Officer (DDPWO) Hussian Khan spoke at the seminar. The department also organised a total of 11 “baby shows” and 20 Hujra meetings in different family welfare centres (FWCs) all over the district in connection with the World Population Day wherein a total of 350 women and their children participated and healthy competitions for babies. ....
