Vinmart has suggested that local officials should pool grocery orders in each locality in HCMC, submit them to the nearest supermarket and help deliver the items to customers. In a proposal to the city Department of Industry and Trade, VinCommerce, owner of the Vinmart/Vinmart + chains, said to ensure supply of essential goods during social distancing, each ward, commune and residential area should nominate an official for the task. (Photo: VNA) The total volume of cargo handled at Vietnamese seaports is estimated to reach more than 425 million tonnes in the first seven months of2021, up 6 percent over the same period last year, according to the Vietnam Maritime Administration (VMA). Of the figure, export cargo hit over 106 million tonnes, a year-on-yearincrease of 9 percent, while import cargo stood at roughly 133 million tonnes,up 2 percent.
