i2S2 Formed with Goal of Supporting Critical Government Operations

GCSD Board of Ed approves agenda items Staff Report GALLIPOLIS The Gallipolis City School District Board of Education met earlier this month for an organizational and regular meeting. Board member Lynn Angell was elected as president and Morgan Saunders was elected as vice president for the 2021 year. The board will meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. for regular meetings at Washington Elementary through May. The June and July meetings will be held at Gallia Academy Middle School. The August meeting will be at Gallia Fleet Services. The remainder of the meetings will rotate among the buildings.

Catford regeneration: Lewisham pays SEW double it intended

Concerns over council spending Lewisham Council has been accused of “frivolous” spending after paying double what it originally planned to for a consultant.   Following a public question at full council from Cheryl McLeod, of campaign group Catford Against Social Cleansing, it emerged last week that Lewisham has paid Studio Egret West “in the region” of £300,000 for work on the Catford town centre regeneration plans.   SEW, an architecture and urban design consultant company, was contracted by the council in 2018 and is still working on the plans.  A Freedom of Information request from Ms McLeod revealed that Lewisham originally capped what it would pay SEW at £150,000 for a 10-month contract.
