A seeming spirited attempt by the Nigerian Army to downplay the Fulanisation agenda that is stoking the fire of the deepening division in Nigeria, does not appear to be dousing the security crisis in the country.
Senior citizen, Chief Robert Clarke, is even warning that Nigeria might not survive the next six months.
Clarke, a legal luminary, was reacting to the insecurity challenges in Nigeria
“Many things are happening and I swear by my father’s grave if care is not taken Nigeria will collapse in six months time,” the senior lawyer said while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics. ....

Recent disturbing happenings across the vast landscape of our motherland, Nigeria, especially on the socio-economic, religious, and political fronts, have every potential to trigger what can pass off for a revolution or even a military coup d’etat.
It has happened in our land before, and it is still happening in other climes. So, it is not the first time. Neither, will it be the last. It will continue to happen, as much as certain prevailing conditions fester.
But since Nigerians, at the moment, may not be somewhat disposed to taking their destinies in their own hands, one Robert Clarke, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), is ‘callously’ prodding and goading them on to threat on a familiar, but dangerous path–that can only lead to infamy if not perdition. ....

Insecurity: Allow military take over immediately, divide Nigeria into six states - Clarke tells Buhari

Robert Clarke, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to hand over the government to the military temporarily in order to solve the security and economic dilemma Nigeria is facing.
According to Clarke, the military should take over the government temporarily and get Nigeria back to six States.
Clarke, who spoke on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, said that Buhari has the powers under the 1999 to delegate all his powers to the military who will now be charged with the task of getting the country back to six States.
“Now I’m going to propose about this security. I don’t know whether I may be right or wrong …if anybody feels I’m right, thank God, if they feel I’m wrong let them tell me. ....

NLC President, Ayuba Wabba speaks during an interview on Channels Television’s
Sunrise Daily on May 3, 2021.

On the minimum wage, the labour leader threatened a shutdown in states where governors are yet to implement the policy.
He added, “Today, more than one-third of the states are not paying. Some actually implemented for Levels 1-6. It is only about lack of resources, it is about whether they are committed to workers’ welfare.
