Cuomo continues

Cuomo continues
I took a whack at Governor Cuomo last week in “Blame it on the Donald.” An update is warranted. At another of his press conferences yesterday he dispersed the blame for his own shoddy performance across an incredibly broad landscape.
Victor Davis Hanson took up Governor Cuomo in his February 14 American Greatness column “The wages of Trump hatred.” Here is a handy summary of events leading to yesterday’s presser:
Cuomo may have had the second-worst record of any governor in the United States, in terms of deaths per million from the virus (currently 2,361 per million New York residents, second to next-door New Jersey). He may have shut down his state, dr[iven] out millions to seek refuge elsewhere, ruined New York’s economy, and yet suffered more deaths and inflicted more damage on his own than a similarly sized, open, and economically rebounding Florida and Texas. Still, Cuomo had one advantage those red-state governors lacked: a large left- ....

Big Biz Kept Funding Dems Who Abused Due Process On Kavanaugh

February 16, 2021
As The Federalist has continued to expose, corporate America has a double standard for its PAC donations based on arbitrary and partisan distinctions.
Since virtue-signaling multinational corporations claim to be so intent on rescinding campaign contribution dollars to the GOP to retaliate against members of Congress who did not vote to certify the 2020 presidential election, this presents a reciprocal question. Where were the suits when Democrats ignored due process in the 2018 Justice Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings?
The partiality was insane in 2018. Democrat members of Congress ignored any semblance of constitutional processes and expressed that Kavanaugh was a rapist before any evidence could be examined. The “Me Too” movement worked its way up to the highest levels of government and the left decided upon the justice’s guilt even prior to the hearings. Christine Blasey Ford’s unsubstantiated and debunked accusations became their ral ....

Criminal-justice “reform” in New York has turned our courts into a merry-go-round, with violent offenders free to jump off at will.
The latest outrage took place in The Bronx, where 16-year-old Jordon Benjamin allegedly stabbed Amya Hicks in mid-December. … He only spent a few hours in a holding cell before being released on his recognizance, without having to post bail.
It’s bad enough that an alleged knife-wielding thug who slashes neighborhood women got to gallivant out of jail. But the story becomes downright enraging when we learn that Benjamin was already facing manslaughter charges and the same judge let him out twice. ....

2020 Election: New York City Hispanics Helped Trump Improve Performance over 2016

(Mike Segar/Reuters)
President Trump lost the popular vote in New York City to Joe Biden by 53 points, an expected rout in his hometown, but he did in fact improve on his 2016 performance against Hillary Clinton, who defeated him in the city by 61 points.
An analysis by
Politico indicates that support for Trump in 2020 rose in almost all assembly districts in the city relative to his 2016 performance. And in some districts, the swing was dramatic: the heavily Latino state-assembly district 86 in the Bronx, for example, swung almost 21 points in Trump’s favor. Assembly district 35 in Queens, which partly overlaps with Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s own congressional district, swung toward Trump by 18.7 points. ....
