Alumnus share experiences, how they stay connected to Tech


The alumni of Texas Tech have carried the Red Raider spirit with them throughout the years since their graduation. The love they have for the school has been passed down through generations in some families.
Alumnus Clois Smith from Houston said his love for Tech is evident in his everyday life as he continues to wear red and black and keep up with the school from afar.
“I had great years at Tech, and I embrace it very vividly,” Smith said. “I keep Tech pretty visible in my life as best I can.”
Smith speaks of his experiences at Tech fondly as he recalls his time on campus. ....

Remembering The Country Music Icons We Lost In 2020

It’s was a tough year for just about everyone, but the country music community was hit especially hard in 2020.
While we look forward to a better year in 2021, it’s also a good time to reflect back on 2020 and remember all it has taken a lot from us. Singer, songwriters, reporters, radio show hosts, band members, and many others who impacted country music positively have gone as well.
This is by no means a comprehensive list of everybody that we lost this year, but a chance to celebrate the lives of some of the more notable musicians who have died this year. Here are a few of their greatest songs to remember them by. ....

Stephen Bradley Wolfe, Sr. | Roswell Daily Record

Stephen Bradley Wolfe was born on August 6, 1944 in Woodward, Oklahoma. He was the son of Helen Louise (Dockerty) Wolfe and B. E. (Bill) Wolfe, who was a B-24 pilot in the Pacific at the time. After WWII, the Wolfe family moved to Hereford, Texas and later to Roswell, NM, where Bill started an irrigation contracting business. B. E. Wolfe died in July 2001 and Helen in June 2006.
After his active-duty military time, Steve met his wife of 48 years, Gwendolyn Thomas, who survives him. They were married on July 31, 1972 at the First United Methodist Church of Roswell. The couple had three children, all of whom survive him. Dr. Stacia Lusby and her husband, James, reside and practice medicine in Amarillo, Texas. Stephanie Schels and her husband, Jeff. live in Belton, Texas, where she taught school and he is a Chiropractic Physician. Stephen Bradley Wolfe, Jr. (Brad) and his wife Rachel live and work in Washington, D.C. Steve has six grandson ....
