A teenager has been arrested after making threats on Instagram mentioning a firearm, police say.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said officers responded to reports of threats made to a 14-year-old male on the social media site by a 15-year-old male just before midnight on Monday.
The threats were allegedly over money owed and mentioned a firearm. ....

'Might run out of oxygen beds': Experts say as Chennai accounts for 36% of active Covid cases in Tamil Nadu

Chennai however reported more than 2000 coronavirus cases for the second consecutive day. The total active cases in Chennai now stand at 17098. This is 36% of the total number of people who are under treatment in all of Tamil Nadu.
Officials are now looking at stricter enforcement of covid-19 in the city. Meanwhile, the number of hospital beds are also being kept a tab on. Hospital authorities are sending people with mild or no symptoms home with orders of home quarantine.
The head of the National Institute of Epidemiology while talking to the media said that at this rate they would soon run out of oxygen beds in the city. It was also said that if control is exercised right now, the hope is to see a reduction in the number of coronavirus cases in the city in the next two weeks. ....

Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella is trying to solve a mystery. He s looking for the rightful owner of an antique sword that he believes was stolen decades ago.The mayor says the sword was shipped to his office by an anonymous sender. A note said it was given to the sender by someone who was dying and who had asked for help returning it to the original owner. Mazzarella said the note indicated the sword may have been stolen from a home in Fitchburg sometime between 1976 and 1980. The sword has a faint inscription on the hilt and the letters US are part of the pattern on the guard, Mazzarella said. The mayor posted on Facebook about the mystery and asked residents to please share the story as he searches for the rightful owner. ....
