If approved, the proposed Spofford Lake Watershed Steep Slope Overlay District wonât affect properties that have already been developed, but will limit what kind of work can be done in âprecautionary slopeâ areas that have grades between 10 and 15 percent. In the prohibited zones with slopes over 15 percent, most disturbances would be forbidden with special exemptions granted for driveways or expansion of an existing building, not to exceed 20 percent of the original footprint. ....

Angela Elliot, 33, of Bennington was arrested and charged with felonies theft by unauthorized taking and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, as well as a misdemeanor count of disobeying an officer. State police received a report that white 2019 Dodge Ram Promaster Van had been stolen from the Tire Warehouse on Route 9 in Chesterfield at 1:31 p.m., at which point the theft had just occurred and callers believed it was traveling east on Route 9 towards Keene, according to a press release from New Hampshire State Police Troop C. Troopers, as well as Chesterfield and Keene police, located the field around Chesterfield Hill. ....
