The former girlfriend of a murder accused told a court that her ex stabbed a friend in her home following a confrontation.
Shannon Beattie said that she and then boyfriend Robbie Smullen had rowed on the day Barry Dixon died, after she suspected Smullen was the father of another woman’s baby.
After drinking Miss Beattie said she and Smullen were “physically fighting”.

Hundreds more schools have been praised by parents in Greater Manchester for their efforts to help children during lockdown. Yesterday we revealed a list of more than 100 schools that mums, dads and grandparents said had gone above and beyond to support pupils and families.
We knew plenty more were worthy of similar praise and after asking parents to share the details, we ve been inundated with hundreds of comments.
