Sistas4Change WS is a women-led nonprofit with organizers who have all been in compromising situations.
“We are women who are on a mission to rebuild the communities it seems like a lot of people have forgotten about, says Hatasha Carter, co-founder and president.
Carter is one of them, and says she was homeless during her childhood. Now her group hosts weekly food, clothing drives, and offers financial assistance to those in need.
“We’ve all been at a low point at one point in our lives, Carter says. We know what it s like to stay in a homeless shelter. We know what it s like to eat in a food pantry.” ....

As the CEO of The Feelings Company, Karen Cuthrell uses a character-based tool called “The Feeling Friends to encourage children ages three to seven and adults to share their emotions.

Cuthrell started the company after learning her daughter had difficulty expressing her emotions at a young age.
“Being able to express your feelings, the more emotionally intelligent you are, the better off you’ll be in life,” says Cuthrell
