Chatham Arts Council Awards Funding to Artists Impacted by Pandemic In an effort to alleviate the negative impacts of the coronavirus pandemic on local artists, the Chatham Arts Council has partnered with several other art councils in North Carolina to provide grants for struggling artists. More than $82,000 in ‘Artist Support Grants’ have recently been awarded to applicants in Chatham, Harnett, Johnson, Lee, and Wake counties. Led by the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County and in partnership with the North Carolina Arts Council, Raleigh Arts, and others, the Chatham Arts Council, also known as the CAC, recently named seven local artists to receive individual grants ranging up to $1,500 apiece. ....
