Salem Health has given 100,000 shots
Officials at Salem Health said they ve administered 100,000 total doses of the vaccine as of Friday, March 12.
The first shot was issued Dec. 17, 2020, nearly three months ago, the health organization said in a news release.
Salem Health said it has administered 61,000 first doses and 39,000 second doses. The first shots went to healthcare providers and then to the mass vaccination clinic at the state fairgrounds, which opened Jan. 7. More than 4,000 people were vaccinated in the first four days of that clinic being open.

The dangerous winter storm that is devastating Texas has caused a need for food and other items at hospitals across the Lone Star State.
Icy conditions, and power and water outages have disrupted the supply chain across the state, and medical staff and patients are also being affected.
The Texas Restaurant Association has a list of hospitals that need assistance as another round of wintry weather drops snow in parts of South and Central Texas.
