Major update 2: Shane Bowden homicide investigation
Police have today charged a further seven men with murder as part of ongoing investigations into the shooting death of 47-year-old Shane Bowden last year.
Detectives from the Gold Coast District, Crime and Intelligence Command, including Homicide and the Organised Crime Gangs Group, and other specialised police, executed eight search warrants at Pimpama, Redland Bay, Underwood, Upper Coomera, Helensvale and Wanora in relation to Operation Sierra Arch.
The Operation was commenced after Mr Bowden was shot in the driveway of a residence on Cox Road, Pimpama at around 12.10am on Monday, October 12, 2020.
Raids carried out by police today culminated in the arrest of eight people.

Drug operation closure at Gold Coast
Police charged five people with multiple offences after seizing a quantity of drugs and cash during a number of co-ordinated searches at residences across the Gold Coast last week which saw the closure of Operation Sierra Carious.
On January 29, police searched six addresses in Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, Labrador, Coomera, Southport and Morayfield, allegedly seizing a quantity of drugs including cocaine and MDMA, along with approximately $35,000 cash, a number of mobile phones and drug utensils.

A 21-year-old Surfers Paradise man was charged with three counts of possess dangerous drugs, two counts each of trafficking dangerous drugs and supplying dangerous drugs, and one count each of possess dangerous drugs, possess anything used in the commission of a crime, possess anything for use in the commission of a crime, possess utensils, possess property suspected as being proceeds of an offence and contravene an acc
