In honor of the celebratory day, Senator John Hickenlooper visited Colorado Springs to shed light on the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. The fund is part of the American Rescue Plan. It provides $28.6 billion in direct aid to restaurants, bars, breweries, food trucks, and more. Grants distributed under this fund are flexible and can be used for mortgage, payroll, supplies, rent, and construction. Women, veteran, and minority-owned businesses will have priority the first three weeks of the application period. ....
Senator John Hickenlooper visited Colorado Springs on Wednesday to discuss a new COVID-19 relief program for restaurants and breweries. The former Colorado governor met with several local business owners at the Atrevida Beer Company to review the benefits of the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, a $28 billion endowment created to provide aid to businesses in the food and beverage trade – an industry that has suffered greatly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program, created as part of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act, is designed to be more flexible than its predecessor, the Paycheck Protection Program.
