Senator Cynthia Villar on Saturday, July 17, expressed confidence that her bailiwick Las Piñas City will soon be able to achieve herd immunity against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as the number of inoculated residents in the city reached 41 percent of their population.

Villar, a former representative of the city, said that as of July 10, 246,790 out of the city’s 606,293 total population were already vaccinated.
She said in her statement that with this rate, Las Piñas City “can even be ahead of the government’s target of herd immunity before the year ends.”
