25pc disparity allowance from BPS-20 to 22 notified

ISLAMABAD: Barring 58 institutions/departments where employees are already getting extra allowances, including the President/PM Secretariat, FBR, all superior courts, NAB, IB, ISI and many others, the government has notified for granting 25 percent disparity allowance from BPS-20 to 22 with effect from July 1, 2021.
According to Office Memorandum (OM) issued by the Finance Division, the approval of the federal government for grant of Disparity Reduction Allowance © 25% of the basic pay of Basic Pay Scales 2017 w.e.f. 1st July 2021 was conveyed.
This allowance shall be admissible to civil employees in BPS 20-22 of the federal government (including employees of the Federal Secretariat and attached departments), who have never been allowed additional allowance/allowances equal to or more than 100pc of the basic pay (whether frozen or not) or performance allowance subject to the following conditions: This allowance will not be admissible to the employees of ....

National Security Adviser Dr Moeed Yusuf on Saturday presented a grim picture of the Afghan situation, warning that the negative fallout of the civil war in the neighbouring country may result in the Taliban fighters slipping into Pakistan as refugees.
Both the FM and the NSA gave a detailed briefing to the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, headed by Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Sherry Rehman. The meeting was convened to discuss the current Afghan situation. Initially, the foreign minister wanted the briefing to be in-camera, citing sensitivity of the issue but the committee chairperson rejected his demand. ....

The Senate Economic Planning Office, in partnership with the Office of Sen. Nancy Binay, today held the webinar, Deleting the Digital Divide, which tackled the legislative proposal adopting an open access in data transmission.
With roughly 200 participants coming from the Senate Secretariat offices, Senators offices and stakeholders, the webinar discussed the issues and challenges in data transmission under present legal and policy environment and how the proposed measure would help address the situation. The proposed Open Access in Data Transmission Act is filed in the Senate under Senate Bill Nos. (SBN) 45 authored by Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto and Sen. Grace Poe, and SBN 911, authored by Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. ....
