A rich cache of data on some 533 million Facebook users was posted to a hacker forum over the weekend and is available to download for practically free. The information is from a data breach that occurred in 2019, but hasn t been widely available until now.
The data was posted to an English-speaking cybercriminal forum called RaidForums by a hacker going by the handle TomLiner.
The Facebook data was first listed for sale on RaidForums on June 6, 2020, but the initial sale allegedly asked users for US$30,000 in exchange for the data, explained Ivan Righi, a cyber threat intelligence analyst with Digital Shadows, a San Francisco-based provider of digital risk protection solutions. ....

Experian API Leaks Most Americans' Credit Scores


Researchers fear wider exposure, amidst a tepid response from Experian.
A researcher is claiming that the credit scores of almost every American were exposed through an API tool used by the Experian credit bureau, that he said was left open on a lender site without even basic security protections.
Experian, for its part, refuted concerns from the security community that the issue could be systemic.

Codecov, a company that tests software code prior to release, has notified customers that attackers had access to its network for a month and placed malware in one of its systems, which may have led to the exfiltration of customers information.
The company says it learned from a customer on April 1 that attackers had gained access to its Docker image creation process and extracted the credentials needed to access and modify the company s Bash Uploader and other internal systems. An investigation determined the attackers routinely accessed the company s network for about a month.

Sky News reports that Paul Davidson, the CEO of the audio social media app Clubhouse, has denied that the firm was hacked following reports that the data of 1.3 million users were posted to hacker forums across the internet.
A SQL database file containing the personal data of 1.3 million Clubhouse users was reportedly recently posted in a hacker forum.
