Atlanta FaZe held on for a 3-2 upset of top-seeded Toronto Ultra and the New York Subliners swept the Florida Mutineers on Friday to advance to the upper-bracket final of the Call of Duty League Stage 3 Major.
Atlanta and New York will play Sunday with a berth in the title match on the line. The losing side still has a chance to reach the final through the elimination bracket.
FaZe jumped out to a 2-0 lead by beating the Ultra 250-210 on Garrison Hardpoint and 6-2 on Checkmate Search and Destroy. Toronto started to turn things around, winning 3-2 on Garrison Control and 250-174 on Raid Hardpoint to even the contest.
FaZe, Mutineers advance in CDL Stage 3 Major

The Atlanta FaZe and Florida Mutineers won their openers on Thursday in the Call of Duty League Season 3 Major, advancing to the upper-bracket semifinals.
The FaZe swept the Dallas Empire 3-0, and the Mutineers got past the Los Angeles Thieves 3-1.
The winners will be in action again Friday, with Atlanta opposing the Toronto Ultra while Florida squares off with the New York Subliners.
The Empire and Thieves fall into losers-bracket third-round matches on Friday, with their opponents to be determined earlier in the day.
Action in the losers bracket also began Thursday, with the Los Angeles Guerrillas defeating the Seattle Surge 3-1 and the London Royal Ravens ousting the Paris Legion 3-1.

The Atlanta FaZe climbed into a three-way tie for first place in their Call of Duty League Stage 3 group thanks to a 3-1 win over the Seattle Surge on Friday.
The FaZe (3-1), by beating the last-place Surge (0-4), pulled level in Group B with the New York Subliners (3-1) and Los Angeles Thieves (3-1)
In the only other match on the second day of Week 3, the Florida Mutineers (2-2) rolled to a 3-0 victory over the defending CDL champion Dallas Empire (2-2) in Group A.
In Stage 3, the 12 Call of Duty League teams are divided in two groups for three weeks of round-robin play through Sunday. The teams group standings will determine their seeding for the Stage 3 Major, scheduled for Monday through May 16.
Toronto Ultra remain unbeaten in CDL Stage 3

The Toronto Ultra maintained their unbeaten status in the Call of Duty League s Stage 3 by recording a 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Rokkr on Sunday.
The Paris Legion, host of the series, registered a 3-1 triumph over the Florida Mutineers. The Los Angeles Thieves were also 3-1 winners over OpTic Chicago.
Toronto (4-0 Group A) lost 250-203 in Raid Hardpoint before sweeping the last three competitions. The Ultra won 6-1 on Checkmate Search and Destroy, 3-2 on Garrison Control and 250-135 on Apocalypse Hardpoint as Minnesota fell to 1-2.
